Description: Mirogabalin is considered to exhibit its analgesic effect by reducing calcium current via binding to the subunit, which plays an auxiliary role in functions of voltage-gated calcium channels in the nervous system. The analgesic effect of mirogabalin is also suggested to involve activation of the noradrenergic pathway in the descending pain inhibitory system.
Indication: Mirogabalin is indicated for the treatment of neuropathic pain in adult.
